I have a 1965 Malibu Convertible from up north, which the frame is rusted out (two large holes which I was told could not be fixed). Can anyone tell me for sure what other car (year and model) other than a 65 Malibu conv. that I could use to replace this frame. someone had suggested the El Camino but they were not sure. I need to be sure it will work!

If you know where I might be able to locate a frame in good condition for this car in florida, please let me know. I'm in the Tampa area..

Thanks
D.

Where are the holes?

You might be able to have them repaired cheaper than finfing a convert 65 frame?

Both holes are directly behind the driver side front wheel on the bottom and outside portion of the frame. Both holes are approx 2 - 2 1/2 inch in diameter. Also, I got alot of rust flakes from inside the frame rail.

Thanks D..

64 and 65 elcamino also have a boxed frame. you can use the elcamino frame, but will need to shorten the frame behind the rear wheels.
You will need to use the rear part of you convertible frame. You would see the differences and know what to keep and use.
