Greetings all! Time to do more painting (well, get ready to paint, it's too wait to do the work). My dripping from the inside review mirror is from condensation - the inside roof is really wet first thing in the mornings. I can deal with that.

However, before I paint the inside roof I need to clean it up. I've pulled off all the padding stuff, but there's no way I'm going to be able to sand and clean all the way to the edges of the panel because they're covered by the body "frame" around the edge. What did you guys do to make sure you get a good seal in there? Is there good paint that will penetrate any rust that might be (probably is) in there?

advTHANKSance...

I'm not a big fan of POR15 but I think it would probably be the best product for the inner roof areas you describe and considering the rust will not be removed. But first---Make sure your windshield isn't leaking, I've never seen condensation dripping every morning in any car I've ever owned. A good way to test for leaks is to make some really soapy water up with some detergent than slop a heavy sudsy layer over the area of the windshield you would like to test. Then from inside the car take an airline and a blow gun and blow compressed air all around the glass. Have a helper watch the outside to see if any air is flowing through and to add more soap suds as needed. Bob
