I was just looking at a neutral safety switch in a horseshoe floor shift and an old junk one from a column. I put them side by side and the only difference I could see in them is that one of the 4 prongs extended out a little further on the floor shift than the column shift unit. The pattern was the same. So who know's what the difference is? What am I not seeing?

The switch mounting is different. The metal back extends below the switch, on the column switch the mounting is below and behind PIC (http://i9.ebayimg.com/02/i/08/3a/e2/bd_1_b.JPG) the metal back on the floor shift PIC (http://i5.ebayimg.com/01/i/08/aa/f9/f4_1.JPG) the mounting is below and in front of the metal back.
