Team G oval intake, gasket matched
750 performance vac sec holley
roller rockers
full MSD ingition
hooker 2 x 3 1/2" super comps
3" flowmasters and exhaust
super t10 2.88 first gear
4:11 ford 9, 31" tall m/t tires

The cam is a Crower billet street roller solid lifters

I think it should work fine. The 408 I did is pretty much the same except I had 2.19/1.88 valves. The cam I used was a flat tappet of .574/.588 with 249/258 @.050. It made 501 hp at 6700 rpm.

Other than much higher lift, we didn't run much more duration than that with 5.13's and a 31" tire. I would probably look at the 286 roller in Crower for your app.

The Crower Cam I Use:

It is Crower grind number 290R
1:5 Specs as follows:
290/296 .585/.597 advertised
spring pressure 190/210 valve closed
spring pressure 450/470 valve open
LSA 112
Duration at .050 260/266


I run that cam with Canfield Heads (220cc), Super Victor Intake, Mighty Demon 750... with 383 cubes and it makes nice power while still remaining streetable. I leave at 4300RPM off the trans brake... time in the 1/4 below.
