Anyone else having this problem? My sway bar, attatched to global west tbc-4 arms is rubbing on the cover to my 12 bolt. I dont see any reason why this should be happeneing. It doesnt happen when sitting there. I dont know under what conditions it might be occuring. Perhaps it was the 2 burnouts I have done where I got really bad wheel hop.

That is more than likely the cause. You'd need to have significant difference in the height of one rear wheel vs. the other in relation to the body for the bar to reach the axle housing. In normal driving this situation isn't likely to occur very often, however in a wheel hop situation the movement of the axle (and therefore the suspension) is quite violent.

If you are getting "really bad wheel hop" you need to address that situation before you damage something. Wheel hop isn't only annoying and make the car difficult to launch hard, it can cause quite a bit of serious damage to the axle, the suspension and the drivetrain.

Dont worry I realize this. Its not like I do burnouts and just accept the wheel hop. Its just I thought after I put a tremec tko in I could still do a burnout, but no. For some reason the auto does beautiful burnouts without hop. I dont know why the manual causes the hop. I havent attempted a burnout since, I will be lowering the rear to try to solve the problem.

Change in pinion angle after the swap?

Perhaps. Im still kinda confused about the correct pinion angle and If I need to fix it.

Would the incorrect pinion angle cause wheel hop?

I always thought it was just if you get vibration then your pinion is off.

Perhaps. Im still kinda confused about the correct pinion angle and If I need to fix it. Driveline operating angles should be equal and opposite on each end, and ideally about 2* ...it will be fine as long as it's no more than 3.5* and no less than 0.5*

Would the incorrect pinion angle cause wheel hop?No, this is a common misconception, but the truth is that pinion angle has absolutely no effect on wheelhop.

I always thought it was just if you get vibration then your pinion is off.It could still be off without getting a vibration. The bigger the angle, the more parasitic HP loss, and too much or too little will result in premature U-joint wear/failure.

Ok, I will try to get a level and measure it. So I measure at the harmonic balancer and where on the rear? The rear doesnt seem to have any good flat spots in line with the pinion does it?
