Can you dye headrests and how? I just want to dye a pair black.

It's actually vinyl paint. I have used Sem, MarHyde and a newer brand I can't remember right now with excellent results. Clean the surface first with a water-based vinyl cleaner, or you can use fantastic. Then, wipe it down with acetone. Acetone will soften the surface, so keep the rag wet and work quickly. Build up light coats with the paint, allow to dry and pop 'em in!
Oh, BTW, keep some extra for touch ups, b/c it's a thin coating and especially if going from a light color, you may bump it or scratch through.

It wont get soft in the heat of summer? I painted my dash with some plastic paints and it is soft in the hot days.
