Hey guys, my car is currently down and the rear drums are shot (springs are broken/rusted through, shoes are past rivets, drums are showing that the shoes are past rivets! etc...) So i was pondering onverting to discs in the rear. I like 15 inch wheels so that rules out alot of choices and i would also like the parking brake in the rotor and not the caliper. So i figured i would go with the s-10 converion. Has anyone done this conversion? If so, is like the others? (All the places i find it on say something along the lines of "apparently the s10 rear brake setup can be used also" but nothing in depth.
Also, i'm installing a 454 and always wanted to go with a hydroboost set-up and so i figured now would be the time. Does anyone know what size bore i should be running on the master with a dissc/disc, hydroboost setup? Thaanks guys!

The only problem with that is i dont wanna have to call them up and order parts when i need to replace the pads aand rotors. I'd rather go to parts store and pick them up right there. Plus, i want the parking brake in the rotors.

They use stock type pads that you can get at any parts store and the P-brake is in the rotor. Thus is a wilwood rotor but the SSBC is the same. http://www.jegs.com/images/photos/950140ipbr.jpg

This set-up uses a parking brake that's on the caliper i believe.

Ok, i've been talking around to guys who have done this kind of upgrade. Both systems have their problems. The wilwood's brake pads have to be special ordered, they are not available from parts stores. The SSBC kit has the parking brake on the caliper (http://store.summitracing.com/partdetail.asp?autofilter=1&part=SSB%2DA125%2D3&N=700+4294922533+4294839009+4294822018+4294908216+ 400336+4294908021+115&autoview=sku).

Oh, also, i really liked the wilwoods but they also have four piston calipers so wouldn't i need an equivalent for the front?
