has anyone used a covans dash to replace their sweep style dash with a column shift automatic. i have a 72 elcamino and want to upgrade my guages and make them functional. i don't know what to do with my shift indicator.(which i would like to keep) also my radio, will the dash support the weight after i cut the opening. and how does the electric speedo know what size tires and gears i have.(how to calibrate speedo) thank you.

You can either cut a rectangular hole in the covans dash, or you can get an aftermarket shift indicator. Instead of a pointer these use lights to indicate. I think you might be the one that just messaged my cardomain page.
