I have different fenders for my SS and need to drill new holes but I don't know where. The fenders have two holes where I need four for the "Turbo Jet" emblems. Is there a template available to line up the two hole pattern to locate the four holes?

Have 66 396 elky with original fenders. Also have 2 malibu fenders that had 2 hole flags. Did weld then up however. Not even sure if 396 emblems would cover old smallblock flag holes. Where is Malone Wisc. in relation to Twin Cities? I am on south side of Cities. There have been other posts questioning location of 396 emblems. Try a search, or come on up an measure mine. Karl

The only place I ever saw dimensions was in the assembly manual...

I do have one old fender that had the 396 flags, and the paint is faded real bad... The area where the flags were is not faded (was "protected" by the emblem... Anyway, the two small block flag holes are still present...

I did'nt measure to see if the 396 ones were in the right place, but they were close enough that I didn't notice anything funny (until I turned thefender over and saw them from the back...

Thankks for the offer "MATB" but Malone is way down near Fond du Lac at the bottom of Lake Winnebago. I'll get an assembly manual to see what it offers for dimentions. It just seems it would be simple to make a template to go from one to another. If I get dimentions I can work with I'll make one. Maybe Ground Up Restorations would be interested.
Just a thought but if dimentions are given for both from the same datum it will be simple to make the template then use the existing holes for location of the template to the fender.

Creating a template would probaly be a good idea, and maybe a hot seller for a few bucks...

I never used on, because when I did swap fenders, I would usually fill the old holes by welding, and never really thought to drill new holes first...

If Assembly manual does't help, let me know. Will be happy to try and make template of mine. Given location and angles would have to be very careful when using. Karl

Good news...
I found the dimentions in the assembly manual on pages 173 & 174 and they seem to use the same refrence points.
I'll make a template and let you know how it works.
