Greetings. I put a turboaction valve body in this otherwise new th350, with a heavy duty TCI sprag and drum kit. Well, when you fire the car up you can get it in low 2-3 times and then it only has R-N-3-2. When you try to drop it into first the car will come to a stop, like two clutches applied against each other. For example if I am rolling at a walking pace and drop the car into low it will stop dead with no rpm change. I dropped the valvebody out and made certain it had no trash in it, still looks good, called Paul at TurboAction, he advised me to look for certain things, but it was all good. At this point I dont doubt the valvebody. I noticed that the accumulator piston in the valvebody is crooked. Can this be holding the band on the intermediate drum? The servo is lose in the bore and I dont see enough accumulator pistons to know whats acceptable. Maybe being crooked is keeping it from locking the intermediate drum. Any ideas and or experience to share on this please?
