When they built our velles they paid little or no attention to corrosion protection. Mostly all untreated metals, they were sprayed and not dipped after bodies were welded together. Many interior areas and pinch weld locations had NO protection. Three things must be present for rust, metal (ferrous material) air, and moisture. Once all accessable areas have been cleaned and protected, options are limited. Other than a very runny rustproofing product there is little that can be done for pinch weld areas, other than keeping dry. On some of the boxed in areas, use of por-15 or similar product, loaded into area through access holes may help. Also rustproofing product may slow things down. One of the challenges when doing frame off, and acid dipping is how to get to the closed in areas to protect. There are some dipping methods that do not use acids, which are hard to neutralize after dip. When doing body on resto we are stuck with the areas we can get to, other than my previous comments. If there are any better ideas out there I think we would ALL benefit. Karl
