Want to replace the sealer in the drip rail, the old stuff is cracked. I've got tube seam sealer and can brush on seam sealer. Is that what I need? Or is there another product?

Duramix makes a sweet seem sealer, two actucally. They are a two part sealer that wont crack or shrink up like some other sealers will.

Stay away from 3M's fast and firm sealer, its JUNK. Ultrapro from 3M is a good one.

If you plan on glueing panels on,duramix would be a good choice as the gun will work on both the sealer and adhesive. The gun is around 45 bucks with a tube of adhesive/sealer around 20.

Thanks Eric, I've got the durimix gun already so I'll ask my supplier for the sealer. I think I have a catlog of theirs so I'll look the part # up. I may try and go over to his house tonite and get a few things....

What dealership are you working at now?

If ya get bored sometime give me shout and come out and check my project 66. I should could use some tips on "mud" working....

Rick, the sealer I use is 4229 which is called control flow. They make another one called self leveling, dont remember the number. The self leveling is thin and likes to run all over the place. The 4229 is a tad heavier bodied and doesnt run like the self leveling but yet still levels out without tooling.

Am at Ford dealership in Raytown.
Name the place and time, Ill make a roadtrip...Eric
