i apologize for this question but what is considered to be a pro touring car? I picking a 65 up saturday and that needs a complete make over and these post in this forum are starting to tweak my interest very much.

Without getting into detail, because there are many levels, it is a car that is setup to handle as well as go fast.
Basically a transition from a pure drag car ,to more of a true street car that is more practical to drive. More emphasis on steering, handling, braking, ride, etc.

I think the essence of Pro Touring is a classic muscle car with style and soul but driving characteristics and some of the creature comforts of a BMW or `05 GTO.
Of course you don`t have to stop there,you can take it up another notch or two (or three or...) and really push the performance envelope into race car territory. Mark SC&C
