I have a 1964 Malibu SS with some frame rust. I have seen this in other 64's and would like to know what options I have in order to correct the problem. It has not progressed too far that the car is not drivable yet., I would like to keep the original frame, if possible.
Thanks for any help

Does the frame have surface rust or are there holes in the frame. Could you poke a screwdriver through any of the rust spots?
As far as correcting the problem depending on what it is: It could be as easy as sandblasting/powdercoating/painting/POR for the frame or a total frame replacement.
Hope it helps,
Steve

It is rusted through, The holes are not very large, and it doesn't seem like the body flexes under routine driving

I went through that on my 1964 Chevelle. Welded in plates at spots that needed it. Not it is stronger than from the factory.

I would start looking for a frame unless you are willing to have someone weld in plates for you. The cost will be about the same. I wouldn't trust a rotten frame in an accident though, no telling how the frame and body will react.
Just my .02c though.
