Any tips on how to keep a poster in the garage from getting all messed up? Dp those cheap poster frames from Target do any good? I've got some vintage racing ones that I'd like to hang out there but not have get destroyed

yes... those frames really help...
The main two things are......
1. remember that paper expands and contracts... dont tape or pin posters at the corners!
2. keep them out of direct sunlight....!

I guess it depends on what you need to protect your posters from (humidity could be an issue in a garage) but I have had good luck with the ones that don't really have a frame, it's just a piece of glass with a cardboard or masonite back clipped on to them. Plexiglass doesn't hold the pictures as flat as glass will do, and it seems like dust, moisture etc will find it's way in there if the poster is not held flat against the glass. I used to have a poster in my bathroom, right next to the shower. It hung there for 10 years in one of those clip-on glass frames, got all fogged up every time I used the shower, but it still looked as good as new when I took it down.

But in short: Any frame will be better than no frame.

Is laminating them an option?

I also vote for the frame deal.

Eh, I'd rather not laminate them if I can avoid it. I'll try the glass/masonite frame thing

Thanks!

I've used plexiglass cheapie frames for years only thing I'd recomend is using clear packing tape to hold them togather around the edges....as the slide clips give out after a few years....
the upside is they don't break like glass when the big blocks rumble rattle them off the walls ...

Kurt has a six-banger, that's why I recommended glass. :D

Check out a Michael's store and see if they have any sales on poster frames. Normally they're pretty pricey, but I caught them at the right time and picked up about 6 for $10/per.
