The top one looks like the connector for your brake distribution block, mounted on the inside of the frame. The second is (I think) for the water temp? Not sure what you're asking for in the third, the plugged line in the last is the fuel return. If you don't have on, that's not the right fuel pump...

i agree the first one looks like for the the brakes, the second i think looks like for your wiper motor, i think, the third i dont know and the fourth i also agree on is for a fuel return line. good luck with it.

#1 could also be for the oil pressure sensor on the drivers side of the block near the filter.
#2 might be temp sender, but for the size of the wire? Maybe one of the HEI connections?

Pic #3 is the charcoal canister that is part of your "Evaporative Emissions Control System.
One hose goes to the "T" which also serves the "PCV" valve and from there to a vacuum fitting on your carb..
One hose goes to the carburetor as a ported vacuum source and the third hose goes to your gas tank.
All that said my 72 is a SB and yours appears to be a BBC but I am thinking that both of our cars are identical relative to that particular system.
The system stores any evaporative vapors from the crankcase, gas tank and the stock air cleaner. Then the vapors are sucked into the induction side of your engine and burned. Note that you have one manifold vacuum and one ported vacuum source ( assuming you haven't changed things around) to handle vapors regardless of driving situation. I have no idea of the canister's storage specs but it is supposed to collect vapors even if the car is stationary and not running.
If I am not mistaken there is also a charcoal canister of some sort in the area of behind the back seat for the purposes of storing gas vapor from the gas tank until the engine is run.
My guess is that the hose you are holding in the pic is the "ported" vacuum hose that should have a home on the carburetor.

Agreed, the temp sensor would only have one wire...

Is that a black and a dkgreen w/white stripe in that single connector? I think it's part of the TCS. Don't know if you have the gauge option, if so there should be a temp switch on the right head between #6 and #8 it should get a ltgreen/wh wire the black should go to the T400 trans switch, both are part of the TCS circuit. Might be an extension lead that connects that routs through the wire gutter then to the temp switch.
