I solve this problem after about 2 hours of work, thought I would post the problem in case some else had the same thing.

I have an Enos wiring kit and a Flaming River steering column (don't know if this is unique to Flaming River, I doubt it.

The is a 66 Chevelle. I first tested the park lamps on both sides, they work fine with headlight switch. Left and right turn signals work fine. Then on to the brake lights - only the passenger side comes on when the brake pedal is depressed.

The bulbs are only 2 filaments so both were working and properly grounded. I chased this problem with a volt meter for 2 hours. I open up a lot of my completed wiring to test.

In the end I found the problem.

After I tested the turn signal I left it in a position so the drivers side turn signal was on, with the ignition key off the light does not blink. However the brake light on that side does not work with the turn signal on and the ignition key off.

To prove this solved the problem I put the turn signal in the neutral position and key off. Both brake lights worked. I turn on the left turn signal ignition key off, left side brake light did not work. Turn the right turn signal on, ignition still off, right side brake light did not work.

What a lot of effort for a very dumb problem.
