Anyone know of a product for filling holes where someone has drilled out areas of the plastic bezel. I know you could use J&B Weld or Marine Tex to fill the basic hole. But I've heard of a vinyl patch that you can apply over the top filler to achieve the original pattern/grain for the final finish look. I'm told after you put the patch on, you peel it away to achieve the 'look' that you want. Anyone know a name of this repair kit or where to buy it at?

Paul what I did is rather easy. I had an extra dash to grind up some plastic from it and put in a glass jar make as much as you can, then get some MEK or PVC pipe cleaner and mix it with the plastic shavings you wont need much of the MEK. Over time it will make all the plastic shavings into a paste. The key is not to mix too much MEK. Then spray some skillet anti stick on your dash in an area that is good slightly dab it off and get an epoxy puddy and press it on the area that has been sprayed with the anti stick , then remove it and let it set up so now you have a texture blending patch.
Put the plastick filler you mixed up and then ASAP put the texture puddy patch on top of it with little pressure and let it set for a few minuites then remove it.

I bought a used dash bezel on e-bay and had the same problem with holes were someone had mounted something. I used glazing puddy with a puddy knife and forced it into the holes. Took the knife and scaped excess off so it was as flat as possible. When dry I lightly sanded the puddy and and painted the bezel. I have to look close to see where the hole were. Might add that the holes in question on my bezel were 1/8 holes. This method would probably be more noticable on larger holes. Hope this helps.
