: Connecting to fuel pump

I have an Ed*lbrock mech fuel pump on my BBC 496. The inlet and outlet are 1/2" NPT. I am ready to take the engine to the dyno for tuning, but cannot find 1/2" NPT to 3/8" barb fitting. Any suggestions?

Also, my plan once the engine was installed is to plumb a hard SST line between the pump and carb, but it appears 1/2" NPT to anything is not real common. Should I step down to a pump with 3/8" fittings?

I have checked the usual suspects, S*ummit, J*gs, G*inger, McM*ster, P*ermacool, Ed*lbrock, H*lley, A*roquip, etc...

Thanks for any input.
E.

Check your local, well equipped, hardware store. They should have those fittings in brass.
I've found them at Ace before...
Are you sure they're 1/2" NPT? I was thinking more like 3/8".

Bill,

No, it's 1/2". I have 3/8" and they are too small. Looks like I will have to get creative. Maybe a 1/2" to 3/8" coupler then I can use the 3/8" barb. The long term solution will likely need to be something involving AN fittings, I guess.

We have a local ACE hardware, so I will visit them this afternoon.

Thanks!
