You might be able to get sheets that the model car guys use for making chrome parts. But I dont think it comes in long strips. So you would have to add sections so the seams wouldnt look right.

I've tried that stuff. Looks fantastic but it doesn't stay put in a car environment very well. I think they sell the mylar strips for that prupose at the resto houses?

I know that www.ecparts.com has it for the G4 Malibu's & El Caminos, 1978-1987. I've never seen it for any other generation though.

I'm betting your's aren't repops, but PUI had big time problems for a while with them falling off; my own included. I finally superglued them back on, and no problems since. JN

Well, being a graphics guy, I can tell you that you can buy that stuff (some call it chrome and real graphics houses call it Mylar) at most sign shops. Maybe not a Fast signs, but if you look around at high end graphics, striping shops that deal in decals, they should have it, and you could either buy a roll or it (usually 15" wide by 30' min) or even dig into their scraps. It's pretty aggressive adhesive and should work well. Don't get the extra thick stuff as it will probably try to come off. Buy the thin stuff (usually the Mylar). This stuff isn't as cheap as regular decal, but shouldn't be as much as a "reproduction" product either. Just use a straight edge and cut to width and length....keep your fingers out of the way of the KNIFE!! Trust me on this one.
Have fun
