looking for the correct oem hinge color for 1970 chevelle, i have been told that the springs were slate grey and the rest of the hinge was black, i have a dupont paint system and would like to know if anyone has the correct color or dupont code for the color.

I have found that hinges were usually natural, like the latches.

Spring and hinge were black phosphate. They can be re-coated but it is not a durable finish.

I repainted mine using Eastwood's Spray Gray. Same color as the brake caliper coating. You should be able to pick up a can of Krylon from Walmart that is a match.
