On my 68 Malibu, the trunk spring broke. Does anyone know where you can find these? They are the long torsion rods in the trunk. Are these reproduced anywhere

i have a similar dillema. On my 68 malibu, one of the torsion bars keeps bending on the trunk hinge.

I also have one trunk spring that is broken. I was thinking about fabricating the deck lid to use a shock like the G body's had in the mid eighties if I can't find a replacement spring.

I also have one rod broken. Have not seen these for sale any where. Looks like a Junk yard part. Does anybody out there know of new replacements???????

are 68 thru 72 coupe springs the same? i know conv are different then coupe.

68-72 are the same. They are also dedicated to the right and left sides, so label them when you take them off. Parts cars are the only place to get them.
