my 67 had the common problem that the only time my windshield wipers would work was when i actually pushed in on the switch to turn on the washers. i coundn't figure it out and couldn't afford a new switch, so i figured this out. this link shows how to do it. image is of the back of the switch where the terminals are http://memimage.cardomain.net/member_images/3/web/2475000-2475999/2475058_1_full.jpg

it worked absolutely fine for me for a week now without a problem and cost me nothing to make it work. dont ask me how i figured it out but boredom and desperation are a powerful combination.
