WOW so if I understand correctly your using 275-60 on your monster ? and getting reasonable traction ......I would like to get a set in that size because my street tires are useless can't even get part way thru secound gear at 3/4 throttle and I'm all over the road, very strict here with real slicks on the street, not that I street race but would like to get on it on a deserted road once in a while without putting car in the ditch ...... hard launches with slick car goes dead straight ....... on the street it changes lanes at every shift I',m too old for that kind of excitement :)

That's is exactly the size/type tire that is on my car now and was when you saw it at the CanAm show. THE best tire I've found so far for the street. Mounted on 15x10 with 5.5" BS.

The 275/60 is rated at 9" of tread, but mine actually measured right at 10" IIRC. The height was 27.5", not 28" as rated. Section was like 11" or so on a 9.5" rim.

In the same height, next up is the 325/50 which is the same 27.5" tall, but has 11 3/4" of tread and has a section width of 13" on a 9.5-10" rim.

Hey Bill, Stick the 275/60's on for the track and lets see what kind of numbers it can lay down ;) :D j/k.

Yes I saw that 9" tread width number and was concerned not big enough ...10" actual so good to know, 325/50 might be a stretch to fit and wont roll my fender lip ......

Track yes ..... have been down unofficially with slicks to sort out suspension but a a few Tremec shifting issues to sort out then I'm there I'm sure the car will do fine its the driver that may not be up to the task :)

Is your name Bill as well? I was actually refering to Bill Burke on running his monster on D/R's at the track.

If your running a clutch car, you may have a bit more of a challenge to hook on the D/R's compared to slushbox equiped car.

Yeah Todd...a couple other guys have mentioned that too.
It sure would be easier than doing a 4 tire swap (running skinnies too) every time we head to the track. Might help the 3.73 rear gear ratio (27.5" vs 30" slick) slightly too.
My next set will be the 325/50 which should fit under the car no problem.
