I could normally spray 2042 without having to buff due to peel.
You need to check and see if you have enough CFM or air volume to run that gun.
Nason is a thinner clear, thinner clears are pretty easy to lay down.
I would check my air supply first then mess around with the gun settings before I worried about trying to find a better clear.

2042 mixes 4:1:1, that 4 parts clear, 1 part dt reducer and 1 part hardner.
I would be using DCX61 hardner in a cross flow that is getting air dried. DCX9 is a hardner that NEEDS air movenment.
Also I would be using atleast Dt870 reducer, DT860 is a joke, it flashes off WAY to soon.
If you can get away with it use DT885, it is the ONLY DTreducer that has what is called tail-solvents. They flash off at a very slow rate, 885 flashes off slower then 890 does.

If CAN get away with 885 you can lay down that clear like glass, I was using a Sata Rp...Eric
