Curious if small block and big blocks use different frame stands. I know on my Nova a big block will work on the small block stands.

A big block will mount to 64-67 small block frame mounts. However, stock 66-67 big-block frame mounts are different from small block mounts. Original big-block frame mounts are scalloped to clear motor mount retaining tabs.

I have heard this before as well. The trick apparently is to use small block motor mounts on the BB. Can anyone confirm this?

A local guy here loves to build 66 and 67 ss clones, and he says he always uses small block mounts when he puts in the big block. "Works every time" he says.
