Can anyone give me the flow numbers for either pre-70 L78 heads or the '70 L78/LS6 head, just specify what it is. Port volume and depth will also help if anyone has them. If you happen to have the same numbers for the L35 heads, that would be awesome too. Stock and/or ported is great.
Thanks, Matt.

Hi Matt, I'll give you a few examples here.
First, from the box LS-6 S/P-closed chamber #291's:
.100 = 53/34
.200 = 131/93
.300 = 197/145
.400 = 237/175
.500 = 261/195
.600 = 278/211
.700 = 294/216
Second, same head with mild port/bowls done,
no extensive porting time-wise.
.100 = 53/69
.200 = 149/128
.300 = 217/156
.400 = 241/187
.500 = 267/213
.600 = 283/228
.700 = 294/239
Third, I put this here just for comparison purposes, they just came in the door and straight to the benches. Edelbrock "Performer" #60549, remember these numbers are from the box:
.100 = 79/69
.200 = 149/123
.300 = 215/155
.400 = 258/180
.500 = 272/197
.600 = 280/204
.700 = 287/206
These are all tested on #1 cylinder to keep everything fair/even and all are 2'190's/1.880's with 3/8" stems. No "lightweight's" except for the Edelbrocks, this is how they come, with the .343's.
I would also mention here we have one unit, a 460" BB in a '69 Camaro on the scales at 3170, if I recall correctly, with these 291's on top with 2.300's/1.880's, an all-out porting job and the stock 396/375HP (242* x .520") cam running 9.80's/9.85's consistently. It is a "cage" car, not a "doorslammer" however! Makes some difference. Thanks, Gary in N.Y.
P.S. All the numbers above can be really improved upon by additional porting/time. Whether or not it's worth it is up to each individual customer.

Thanks guys, youre both awesome! Also, just wondering, I know of an L78 Chevelle, or so claimed to be, in Iowa for sale. Its a '68, and it has the original heads but not engine, heads dont have the VIN stamped on them do they? Its a project, the guy wants 5 K.
