: what metal to replace before pulling body off frame?

my 72 droptop project needs trunk floor and braces, full quarters, outer fender wells and driver side floor pan. I plan to brace it up with square tubing to keep the body from flexing, but should I do the metal replacement before I pull the body to do the frame and suspension.

Leave the car sitting on the frame.

That's what I'm doing, although it is easier to replace the trunk pan with the body off the frame as I'm finding out the hard way. I would have all other sheetmetal work done before lifting the body.

thanks, I was thinking it would be better to do the structural metal work first before pulling the body. Seems to me it would be easier to line up the floor braces to the frame and would eliminate the possibility of body twist, especially since Im dealing with a convertible that has very little floor left.

I just finished installing complete floors w/braces for my 71 convertible. I found it was much better to get the frame out of the way, especially to do the braces. I'd take a close look at your braces & inner rockers before you cut the floors out. From what I understand the qtrs must be done with the body on the frame
