hello again, i took off my rt door to rebuild the hinge pins, the rebuild kit that i bought several months ago has four pins, eight bushings and four clips all are the same.i replaced the upper hinge with no problem.the lower hinge once i removed the spring has one bushing that the hole size for the hinge is larger, the pin fits the i.d correct.it does not appear to be worn that way.is there something i'm missing here ? it's a 69ss. thanks gary

think i solved the mystery, called ausleys today and talked to mike who was real helpful.he said he had heard of this before on some 72's but not on a 69.the hinges are the same from 68-72.he suggest i go to chevy dealer and get the lower bushing off of a mid 80's truck will try that this week.Gary

88-98 chevy trucks also have a larger outside diameter bushing, just make sure the bushings and pins fit tight and use moly based grease when assembling them. If the pins and or bushings fit loose they will not last.
