I replaced the body bushings in my 70 big block, but I am at a loss as to the torque specs.

I have consulted several manuals, and resto shops, but I hear different answers from everyone. I have heard as little as 50 ft/lbs, and as much as my impact gun can muster.

BTW: they are original style rubber w/ steel inserts.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

The instructions that came with my replacement bushings called for 35 ft/lbs. I believe the assembly manual says the same. Maybe someone can confirm this.
