I have all the body work done on the dr.fender, was in a hurry and sprayed
on some 2k primer on it before putting
any wash primer on it first.
Is that going to be a problem down the
road???Do I need to resand the fender
and put the wash under some new 2k??

Before I found out about etch primer here I did pretty much a whole car with K200 urethane 2K primer over bare metal. I painted it almost 10 years ago and it still looks fresh. I have had no lifting problems or issues, but my car is kept garaged if it matters.

Doesnt matter if anyone agrees with me (and I am sure that the pros dont) because my car is already painted smile.gif If it helps you sleep then I would strip it and etch prime it. If I had problems I would tell you but my K200 worked fine over bare metal. It doesnt have the rust protection of etch but has had no adhesion problems. Next time I go completely bare metal I am going to use the etch but I know its not a big deal if I prime a car with 2K that has a few bare spots here and there.

I wouldn't sweat it. As little as ten years ago shops were using laquer prime directly over bare metal.Urethane prime is WAY better than laquer so you should be ok.But as Dave said,if it makes you sleep better you could strip it.
