Hi, I was wonder if it's ok to not put on the window weld/pinch primer from 3M? The reason I ask is because I can't seem to get any around here, and my local paint store had to order it, but it hasn't come in for a month now and I'm all ready to install the window with just the 5/16 ribbon sealer. Would this be ok or should I wait for that extra insurance for a good seal. Does any Home Depot or any other places have this stuff? Is there something else I could use? Thanks for the help. Eric

Use it, go to a local glass shop to see if you can get some there.

i agree with Leo. But I must admit that I have used Thinner or pre-prep to clean the channel in a pinch..

Ok, I just got back from a glass shop. They didn't give me a 3M product, this ones called TITAN Metal Primer. Will this do the job? Also, if this is the right stuff, can someone tell me how to apply it?, this bottle doesn't have any directions on the back. Thanks again. Eric
