I'm looking at one. 2 DR HT (he says it's a Bel Air but don't you know all 55-57 Chevy 2dr HT cars are Bel Airs), NOM (327 w/T400). I've got a ballpark figure of around $23K depending on condition.

thanks
Andy

A '55 Bel Air will have chrome headliner bows.

Have NO idea about what one is worth nowadays, but the one I bought in highschool back about '64 with a 265/2-barrel and P/G cost me $300.

And it is onna the few cars I'd like to daily drive besides my old '64, Ford Fairlane S/W..

I bought one form my grandpa in 1969 for $125.00. Wish I still had it.... these days they're in the mid teens around here if they are a 5 on the scale. If they are nice mid to upper 20s. Dynacorn is repoping the 57 vert and there is a company, sorry lost the web address, that is doing hardtops in fiberglass standard and chopped top. Horsepower TV did one a couple seasons back so Aces! my know the producer. If they are anything like the ford street rods they'll be down in the 10 to 15 k rolling chassis in a couple of years.

Depends totally on the condition. A guy a few miles from our house has a '55 2-D sedan that's so far gone that he's turning into a dirt track racer.

Hey Andy.
In 1955 they made a 210 2dr Hardtop Sport Coupe, and a BelAir 2dr. Hardtop Sport Coupe. These models were made in 55,56,and 57. I have a 2dr. BelAir post. The values of these cars are all over. It is all in what you want and what condition the car is in determines the value. I personally prefer a post car over a hardtop. I was in Pigeon Forge a couple of weeks ago and just a nice driver was in the high $20's. I looked at some as high as $50,000. If you find out some more details, I would help you put a number on it. Also, the vin number on a 55 is easily broke down to show what model it is and motor size. Good luck!

My neighbor and i were discussing this, he's got the body off the chassis on his 55. The body is in the driveway on a dolly while he's doing his chassis. We were figuring low to mid 20's for a "Nice" driver... He bought his off his uncle in 1966 for $50...
