Hey Shai, I hate to break it to you man, but POR20 does exist. POR15 High Temp Coatings(scroll down a bit) (http://www.por15.com/hightempcoatings.html)

I haven't personally used it, but i've heard that it is pretty nice.

Ok, so now anybody actually use it. It's pretty new so there can't be any long term tests.

I have a can sitting in my garage that I need to use.
Sid, would you mind sharing your experiences?
Thanks

I'm guessing that from Sid's offer to email rather than just posting his experiences that they're less than positive.

When I last talked to the POR rep at a swapmeet, they did say that they didn't work so well on those tight turns right after the heads, apparently it gets too hot there, and suggested that POR-20 would work better on cast manifolds than tube headers.

I bought a can anyway, it's gotta work better than the rusty-look I've got now.

I highly recommend that you don't use it on your headers. It WONT hold up!! I have experience with this product and it just doesn't hold up on headers. I sand blasted brand new headers, applied two coats, baked them in an oven and carefully installed them so as not to scratch them. After a couple of weeks the por20 started to peel and show some light rusting. On the bottom side of the headers the road dirt totally sandblasted all the por20 off! Looked like crap after one month of driving. If you talk to the people at POR15 they'll even tell you that it's not a good product for use on headers. There are some stainless steel paints that Iv'e heard hold up well on headers. Por20 looks great and works fine on intake manifolds though!! Mike

For headers I hear that flame spray works well. It's basically molten aluminium sprayed onto your headers. I also hear that it's not exactly cheap or readily available on every street corner.

All I can say is that I was deciding between the coating method and the paint, and I chose the wrong one!

Anyone got the number to Jet Hot? http://www.chevelles.com/forum/wink.gif
