....the firewall and the center panel on the rear match the body color. Both are incorrect for a '67 SS. Unfortunately, my painter is 1200 miles away. I'm seeing about getting credit. Shouldn't be a problem. What can I expect to pay to get this corrected. There is no motor or drivetrain in the car and the firewall is bare. Thanks in advance.

and to think of all the trouble I went to to get my firewall cleaned up, smoothed up and painted body color and your unhappy about the guy going the extra mile to do it. But then I prefer "not correct"

Shouldn't be to difficult to fix. Pull front clip off, sand it down shoot it with "correct" engine or flat black, stick the front end back on. The big problem will be not knocking the finish up getting the front end back on and shimmed into place.

The back panel is easy. The firewall is not. I would be very hesitant to pull the front end back off. You WILL scratch something somewhere, you'll be pissed, and then you'll do it again, because you were already upset. THEN, it will be time to put it back together and get it all aligned... that's when the swearing will really start. http://www.chevelles.com/forum/wink.gif

I think a spray can can do just as good a job *sometimes* and if you do it right, this could be one of them.
