I would like to put my 69 Chevelle body back where it belongs. On the frame. There are 2 alignment holes on the left side of frame. Are these alignment pins avaliable anywhere? If not what do i need to do to make them?
On the front frame top hole. I think is 5/8th inch. Hole on body at fire wall is 5/8th. This is fine but on the rear. Frame is 5/8th and the body is much bigger and oblong. Is there another piece that would set on the top of the 5/8th pin (above frame)to align body? Or should the 5/8 pin set in the middle of body hole?

Not a 69 type , but it's the FRONT pin the set's the body location. The rear aligns the body to the Frame... ( I ASSUME )The elongated hole .is front to back. This make up for the built in tolerance allowance ( +/- .125 ) on all frame dim. and the same for the Fisher Body dim ..
So you should have a .625 5/8 X .875 7/8 slot ?

WayneK Yes the holes are as you say....See if i got this right. If i put the right size pin in the front frame to body hole. The body will be set in the correct place. Then i do the same to the rear. The pin should fit in the body aligning hole. Sence the body hole is 5/8 across the hole from side to side. The pin should fit. Then with the +/- .125 give me the 7/8 slot. As long as the pin is inside the hole . I should be good to go. If the 2 pins fit thats all i need to do. No adjustment needed.. Correct??
