I have 2 pumps here which one is the correct back for it. I have my rebuild kit ready to go in so I can put it back together. The one that is painted black I dont think its correct because of the long low pressure tube it hits the engine block and the fill tube is different shape also? The unpainted one I just removed from a 69 396 spare engine that I have. I hope someone can tell me which one is correct.

The painted one with the long tube is typical of what I have seen on 6 cyl engines.

I have an original PS pump from a 69 that had a 6 banger. I'll pull it out tomorrow and take a pic.

I wonder is the tube should be more in this area? Were I have the arrow pointing to?

These are available from Autozone for about $75. They are remanufactured with the return tube in the correct location. I bought one and it is very nice.
