What month in 1968 did GM start using the '272' block in the 1969 model year Chevelles?? Thanks

Pretty sure that the -440 blocks were used on earlier cars, but I'm no expert..

I have a 272 block dated H 28 68 for 69 Chevelle 325 HP . H is August

One source I have indicates the "272" block was used from late Aug and/or early Sept/68 to June/69.

I've never heard of a 272 in the 68 model year Chevelles.

The 69 I just finished has a 272 block, an August car,, wat I understand is that the Atlanta plant never ran out of 272s,, like alot of the other plants did.
