I have run across some unusal powerglides, the one in my El Camino is air cooled, has fins on the torque converter and holes in the bellhousing for air flow I think it is out of a 66 Chevelle with a 194 ci, the other is in my sisters 68 camaro, also a 6 250 ci, it is a manual shift unit, no modulator or kick down. It says Torque Drive on the gear indicator and is a #'s car. Has anyone else run across any of these? Philip

Yep, common as dirt. Came in most 6 and 4 cylinder applications, also have lower first gear, 1.82 to one.

Wally,
which one the air cooled or the manual shift? even with the low gear the 3:08's and 28" tall tires make the 194 work hard to get my 64 going.
