If you want to put some fat tires under there, you may want to consider a narrowed axle and wheel tubs. I'm not sure what the laws are in each state, but there may be an issue with having tires stick out past the wheel housing. Besides, the 70s look is dead. The modern Pro Street look makes for a much neater looking car.

Modern Pro Street look? Its qiuickly becoming as dead as the 70s look IMO.

Pro Street will never be dead....it may be taking a back seat to the current Pro Touring craze, but there are new Pro Street/Engineered cars at almost all the major shows every year.

IMO.

back too the original question.. How much "Bondo" (and is it really bondo brand filler) is on the quarter? If you do the rolling with a baseball bat slowly you might not crack it if it is just a tiny patch and not a mud bogg http://www.chevelles.com/forum/smile.gif

It really doesn't matter how thick it is, it WILL crack it the filler went down to the edge. If the filler is up away from the edge of the wheel well it "should" hold on because the metal will only be bending down at the edge and under it. If the filler goes down to the edge, heck yes it will crack. The metal will roll "away" from the less malleable "bondo".

I meant that if there is a tiny patch of bondo up near the sail panel, and he is rolling the wheelhouse area it won't crack.. I believe unless it is really close to the edge, or you oilcan the panel the bondo shouldn't crack.. It all depends on where and how much bondo is there, and how heavy your going too be pushing on the wheel lip!
