I`m going to start doing the body work on my 67 elky project. Can someone tell me how to remove the trim that goes along the bed rails and up over the cab? It`s stored a hour away from me so i can`t just go out and start pulling on stuff.

jujst did my the other day there is i think five inside the cab under the head liner top three are easy to get too the other two you have to pull of the heads liner trimm pieces then have a mag stick ready just before the last
few threads for they dont drop in the cavity bye bye for those so go slow
the other 2 on the outside after taking that phillps screw off just pry up
slow with a wide pri bar go slow it should pop out i noticed they had some
kind of sealer caulking in there either to keep it tight or weather striping
when i put mine back going to put some kind of caulking in there

The two on the sides of the bed should pop right off. Start along the edge closest to the tailgate and pull up using a small pry, they should pop off the clips.

There are a few clips that hold them in place. Once you get started, you will see what I mean.

yesterday i was talking about the ones over the cab .
the ones on the bed rail the stainless steel ones i took off the chrome ones
next too the tailgate first then just slid the stainless straight off on the end of bed no prying then off the clips

those pot-metal pieces that surround the back of the cab will have a seal at each stud that pokes through to the inside of the cab. They will probably be totally trashed after al these years. Be sure to seal/caulk each of those studs when you put things back together...otherwise you will have leaks.
