i don't know if this has been discussed before..i didnt look, but I just took mt windshield out and the window sealer is a pain in the butt to get off..whats the best methos to get it of..i tried scraping it off which kinda worked but it cant scrape it all off..i poured a little mineral spirits on it but that didn't really work either..any suggestions?

I think i will just keep using a paint scraper and see how it goes

It all depends on what you plan on doing with the channel, I assume you are going to need to paint it?

I use a sharp razor blade and "shave" it off. Then when you get down to the bottom, take a 3" grinder with 80 grit on it to clean the rest off before priming.

You can "shave" the sealant off the glass as well. Don't be cheap on the blades, use as many as it takes.

If you don't plan on painting the channel, shave it off and then use some "window weld primer" over it. Depending on if you plan on using buytl tape or urethane, there are two different types so be sure you get the right one.
