i have a '69 and i like how the '68 chevelles had the vent windows in the front...would it be possible to take off this assembly and put it on my chevelle, or would i have to take the whole door and swap it? any help is appreciated!!

I think it would be easier to just replace the doors with doors from a 68.

would they bolt straight on though? what about do they have trim mounts in the same place? or weatherstrip alignment problems? thanks again for the help
The 69 300 Deluxe had vent windows...see my sig...ALbert
They(doors) would be a direct bolt on and the the trim piece would mount the same. You would need to install the 68 roof rail seal to be perfect but I would guess the 69 seal would work as my 68 pro street has 69 doors and the roof rail seal seems to work. The big difference on the 300 is the sedan has a metal frame all the way around the window and a post on the front edge of the quarter window (as you can see by looking at alss 300)
One last thing the inside door locks are positioned differently 68 vs 69. You would need to buy new door panels. I had a pair of 69 panels I got from PUI(special order from local dealer) with the lock ferrel in the 68 position and 68 inner widow fuzzies.
