I have a 70 chevelle with a 355 small block in it. I can not seem to get the stater shimmed right.It will be O.K. for a couple of days them start to sound loud again.I have shimmed it on the out side only with quite a few sims to get it right only to have it go bad later. last week it cracked the nose on my starter.any ideas as to what the problem could be.
