I couldn't find any info on this subject: I'm about to order a glasstek cowl induction hood for my '67, but i'm told that its up to me to attatch the forward edge chrome trim and emblem on this hood as they don't make the hood with provisions for clips or emblems, is this a difficult procedure? I do want to keep the original chrome and emblems on my new cowl hood. thanks, brad.

I shouldn't be a problem as the chrome trim has threaded studs sticking out of it. The emblem will secure the same way.

Brad, I don't know if you're getting the 2 or 4 inch (I pick up my 2 inch tomorrow) graemlins/hurray.gif but if it's a 2 inch, Goodmark is sposed to be offering a 2 inch steel as of Sept 9. Just FYI.

I got the 2 inch fiberglass...just picked it up yesterday, so it'll be a bit before I try the fit. It looks like it's gonna need a little work around the edges to make it ready for paint, but I'm happy with it. I didn't want to wait for the steel one.

I have the 4" Glasstek and you're correct, there are no holes provided (http://www.chevelles.com/showroom/396guy/scoop01.jpg). My body guy simply took a pencil and (like a pin-striper) ran a pencil mark down the centerline, held the old trim up in place, marked the holes and drilled them out with an air drill. Took him less than a minute. I didn't put the "CHEVELLE" script back on the hood front, but I imagine it'd be just as easy.

Nice to know about the Goodmark hood as I may go with a 2" on my 67 Elky. The SS required a 4" scoop for clearance but the Elky won't be that radical.
