Don't know on that year but try grounding the body of the switch and see if that changes how it operates.

Unhook the assembly from the back and then turn on the switch. When you turn off the switch it should be in park hook it back up in that position Dirks SS

The park function is controlled by a switch inside the wiper motor. The motor needs to be grounded to the body metal. The motor has three rubber mounting grommets(?). One will have a metal ground strap, make sure it is making contact with body metal. Here’s a pic (http://i16.ebayimg.com/05/i/07/e0/84/75_1.JPG) of a set you can see the ground strap on one.

what I did was replace the dash molding ,along with everything else. I put the switch back in without the ground washer. When you push the switch in you can hear the pump working. I didn,t know you could have a washer with a 2 prong plug.

All 67s have two speed wiper with washer, someone correct me if I'm wrong. The correct wiper switch should have three connections. If your switch has only two either it is the wrong switch or one has connection has broken/fallen off. Regardless the park function has nothing to do with the switch in the dash. If the motor has power, is grounded correctly and the park switch, inside the gear box, is functioning correctly the wipers should go to the park position.
If the wipers stop when you turn the switch off the problem is either with the park switch, in the motor gear box, or the motor ground.

My wipers finally parked. I took elree solution, And found out there was no ground to the motor. While I had the wipers in the off position, I took a wire and grounded the motor to the fender. The wipers went down and parked.
Thanks Elree :hurray:
