Trying to install a full qauter on my 70' When I get it in place the rear will not line up with the trunk lip. (needs to move forward by 1/4 of an inch) but it is already buting up against the drip rail behind the qauter window and can not move forward anymore.
Has anyone had problems installing a Goodmark panel before.
What are Goodmark panels coated in?

Well there could be a few issues.. One is you may have excess metal that needs to be trimmed or pushed back a little to get the fit right, Or your car could have been hit in the rear, creating your issue. Take a good look at all of the edges, and see where it is binding. Take the panel off and check that area for buckles, warps or other signs of an accident or hit, or check for weld spots that need to be removed or any other problem that could prevent the panel from falling into place. I had a similar problem and found that my car was hit pretty hard in the back end, and a quick patch and mud job made it look presentable.. I had to get a pulling tower and straighten out the frame. Luckily I have a newer and straight frame to put under her since it was bent up pretty good.. Good Luck..

I just completed replacement of full quarters on a 70SS three weeks ago. Is it the left or right? Did you replace the outer wheel house? How does it align with the rocker and door opening?
I had to really put the pressure on the left quarter to move it forward. I used welders vice grips to pull/pinch the panel to the drip rail and still had to tweek it forward to align with the rocker. I was even using NOS sheetmetal. Can you take a digital photo of the problem area? I feel your pain.
The Goodmark panels have an electro dispersion (ED) coating to prevent rust.
