I recently came across 5 Pontiac Trans Am Honeycomb Wheels. I think from a 75 Trans am. The problem is they all have oval shapped center where the center cap goes. these wheels were stored and have some dirt dobber nest on them but look great other than that. All 5 wheels have the same oval or egg shapped center opening. Is this normal? Even the metal part of the wheel is oval shapped, not just the poly stuff. Check out the pics. any info is appreciated.

No those are commonly called "snowflake" ...

The ones Im talking about are the earlier polycast "honeycomb" wheels..
Used on early 70's GTO, Firebird, and Can Am...

Seems as if all the Honeycomb searchers are looking for 15 X 7 's and not the 14's hardly at all and the prices they're going for on eBay sure reflects it! Upwards of $500 a set for 15's and maybe $200 for 14's and you can't find decent trim rings anywhere except eBay for the 15's and NOS ones are around $350 and the centercaps prices are just as bad! 64elkynss

Yeah.. Two reasons I think..
Its getting hard to find tires for 14" rims and you cant fit much of a brake package inside...

A set just sold on Evilbay for 655..

With only two center caps and no trim rings! If you add those items in and include the $125 for shipping those are a $1200 set of rims.. They weight 29 lbs apiece as well.
