I have a '65 SS, and I want to put a Performer RPM manifold on my 454. The Edelbrock catalog says the BB manifold will not fit under a stock 65-67 chevelle hood, but I figure there must be someone out there thats made this work.

Yes it will fit ..........Oh, after you install a 2 1/2 cowl hood! Won't fit under stock hood sorry.

i have a performer rpm air gap that "won't fit" on my 65 under the stock hood. it didn't fit until i put 66-67 bb motor mounts and stands and i have a LT-1 air cleaner on it (looks the same as a Z-16 air cleaner).ps i had a performer rpm (non air gap) on it also it's the same height as the air gap.
