HI Guys, I'm a newbie to this forum......Nice to meet ya'll:waving:
I recently bought a 69 Malibu 350/4spd. bucket seat car and I noticed there were 2 door jam switches on each side and I know that one is for the dome lights...whats the other one for????? It doesn't seam to do anything.....I don't see it in wiring diagram.......

Does your car have the power seat back release option?

My guess would be a door trigger for an aftermarket alarm system?

Thanx for the replies.....Elrey It doesn't have any other options, not even powersteering or brakes so I doubt if they would have ordered seat back releases.....but you never know.
Surfingreg....I guess that alarm system is a possibility but I don't see any other signs of that...
It looks just like the dome switch only they have no spring at all......

What happens if you look at the switches to see what kind of wiring is on them? You can easily figure out which ones work the dome light and would expect to see factory wiring on them. If the other ones have some non-factory wiring , I would suspect a burglar alarm of some type. If they have really good looking factory wiring, them I would be stumped. It should not take much to pull a kick panel and look at this.

it was the rare option of hi and low beam dome light :D
My guess would also be for an aftermarket alarm system and for an old one from back in the 70's. They were not as hi tech as we have now.
